Another Nod: Jennifer Lawrence Nominated for Golden Globe

Jennifer Lawrence was nominated Thursday morning in the Golden Globe's best actress in a comedy or musical, her second nod for a major acting award in as many days.The nomination is for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, a comedy about a man (played by Bradley Cooper) who struggles with mental illness after his marriage disintegrates. Lawrence plays his love interest, who is struggling with depression.The Screen Actors Guild on Wednesday nominated Lawrencefor the outstanding lead female actor.Also nominated in the category were Emily Blunt (Salmon Fishing in Yemen) Judi Dench (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel), Maggie Smith (Quartet)  and Meryl Streep (Hope Springs).Lawrence, a Louisville native who lived here until beginning her acting career at 14, was a nominee for the 2010 Golden Globe for best actress for her role in the indie drama Winter's Bone.She was also nominated for best actress at the Academy Awards. This year, she is considered a frontrunner to win the Oscar.
