Ohio River bridges tolls, the on-going University of Louisville-Norton Healthcare dispute and the ongoing search for Bardstown Police Officer Jason Ellis’ murderer will be discussed today on Byline.
Indiana officials surprised many on Thursday when they pulled from a meeting agenda an item to set toll rates for the Ohio River Bridges Project. WFPL’s Devin Katayama will discuss.
Devin also reported earlier this week that five agencies serving at-risk children in Louisville want Jefferson County Public Schools to do more to ensure there are ample employees to keep students and staff safe at their schools. He’ll discuss that one, too.
And he has also been following the on-going dispute between the University of Louisville and Norton Healthcare over a plan for Kosair Children’s Hospital. (Devin had a busy week.) He’ll talk about the latest there, too.
Meanwhile, Richie Farmer took a plea deal after an indictment stemming from his time as the Kentucky agriculture commissioner. The Lexington Herald-Leader’s Jack Brammer will discuss the situation with the former Kentucky Wildcats basketball star.
Byline host Rick Howlett takes a look at Bardstown, which is still recovering after police officer Jason Ellis’ shooting death.
We’ll also hear from former U.S. Rep. Lee Hamilton on Syria and more.
