Big things that happened this week: Louisville teenagers react to the string of violence in downtown last weekend; a sweet retirement package at Kindred; and another Wildcats-Cardinals showdown in the NCAA Tournament. We’ll talk about these stories and more today on Byline.
First off, WFPL’s Jake Ryan and I will join host Rick Howlett to discuss the string of violence by teenagers that happened in downtown Louisville last weekend. On Thursday, city officials organized meeting with teenagers to discuss issues in their community. Meanwhile, Louisville Metro Police are planning a more visible presence at Waterfront Park, plus new security cameras.
We’ll also hear from Jim McNair of the Kentucky Center for Investigative Reporting. Jim looked at the retirement package for the former head of Louisville-based Kindred.
We’ll also get an update on the NCAA Tournament, where the UK and UofL men’s teams are to face off this evening.
We’ll also get the latest update from the Kentucky General Assembly, and more.
