College Football: U of L at Pitt, Wildcats vs Razorbacks, IU-OSU

After a week off, the University of Louisville Cardinals return to the football field Saturday.U of L plays its third straight road game with a visit to Pittsburgh. To accommodate television coverage, the game will have an unusual kickoff time of 11:00am, which doesn’t bother Cards’ coach Charlie Strong."It’s going to be an early rise. So we get up early. When you get up you don’t have much time at all, it’s time to go play the football game. Which is good, I like that, I like getting up," Strong said.U of L is 5-0 on the season and ranked 16th in the USA Today/Coaches poll. The Panthers have struggled to a 2-3 start but have beaten Louisville four straight times.Kentucky coach Joker Phillips hopes to get his Wildcats back on the winning track at Arkansas. UK (1-5) has lost four in a row and has been plagued by injuries that have sent two quarterbacks to the sidelines."It’s just part of the game," Phillips said this week. "I’m not one of those ‘woe is me’ guys. We expect the next guy to come up and play good football for us."Freshman Jalen Whitlow will start at quarterback for UK.Arkansas has a 2-4 record under first-year coach John L. Smith. Kickoff at Fayetteville is 7:00pm Saturday. In Bloomington, Indiana (2-3) hosts #8 Ohio State (6-0) for an 8:00pm kickoff.
