College Football: U of L at Southern Miss, Cats vs Gamecocks, IU at Northwestern

The Louisville Cardinals take their 4-0 record to Southern Mississippi tomorrow. The 17th ranked Cards are off to their best start since 2006, but are coming off narrow victories over North Carolina and Florida International.Coach Charlie Strong says if his team wants to take the leap from good to great, they’ll have to learn how play with intensity for the whole game. "If you look at it, we should have finished the game off at North Carolina, which we didn’t. A dominating team is going to finish that game off, and they make the score whatever they want it to be. And then...we go on the road. We could have played a lot better(at Florida International)," Strong said. Southern Miss, at 0-3, is off to one of its worst starts in years. Tomorrow’s kickoff in Hattiesburg, Mississippi is 8:00pm. The 1-3 Kentucky Wildcats return to Commonwealth Stadium tomorrow night. They’ll host number six South Carolina. UK quarterback Max Smith is expected to return to action after sitting out last week’s loss at Florida with a shoulder injury. Kickoff is 7:00pm.The 1-2 Indiana Hoosiers are back in action after a week off. They’ll visit Northwestern tomorrow for a noon kickoff.
