The Big Lebowski en Lebowski Fest is This Weekend <p>It's funny how a person can love something they weren't even sure they liked on the first encounter.</p><p>Take "The Big Lebowski" and Will Russell.</p><p>"Even I when I first saw it, I didn’t dislike it, but I was kind of indifferent to it," Russell said. "Certainly didn’t have an inkling that one day I would start a festival celebrating it. But, yeah, I ended up catching it a few more times and on the third time I just completely fell in love with it. I was absolutely smitten.</p> Fri, 19 Jul 2013 20:12:17 +0000 Joseph Lord 6183 at Lebowski Fest is This Weekend Lebowski Fest Founder Branches Out with Pee Wee Over Louisville <p>When Will Russell and his partners&nbsp;staged the first party in honor of their favorite movie, The Coen Bros.' &nbsp;“The Big Lebowski,” they didn’t realize how many people shared their enthusiasm for what was then an overlooked slacker comedy.&nbsp;Ten years later, <a href="">Lebowski Fest</a> tours internationally with cast member guest appearances and buzz bands, and their two-day flagship event brings fans (code name: Achievers) from all over the country to Louisville every summer for bowling, White Russians, costume contests and what-have-you.</p><p>Russell's banking on tapping into a similar community of cult film fans with his new venture, <a href="">Pee Wee Over Louisville</a>.
