Mike Pence’s candidates for the post of state auditor has asked Pence to remove her name from consideration.</p><p>The Times of Munster says Blair Milo is one of at least six Republicans whom Pence has interviewed for the post.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; She’s the mayor of Laporte, in northwestern Indiana.</p><p>Milo says she can best fill her commitments to serving the people of LaPorte by remaining as mayor.&nbsp; Her first term in that office runs through 2015.</p><p>Pence spokeswoman Christy Denault says the governor is grateful Milo was willing to consider serving.</p> Thu, 18 Jul 2013 19:23:32 +0000 Associated Press & Rick Howlett 6165 at http://wfpl.org Potential Indiana Auditor Appointee Asks to be Removed From Consideration Gov. Mike Pence has picked state Auditor Tim Berry as the new Indiana Republican Party chairman.</p><p><span style="line-height: 1.5;">Berry will leave his job at the Statehouse to run the party full time and Pence campaign manager Kyle Robertson will take over as the state party's executive director.</span></p><p>Berry is from Fort Wayne and is in his second term as state auditor after serving eight years as state treasurer.</p><p>He will replace Eric Holcomb, who resigned last month to become U.S. Sen.
