Forecastle Fest Temporarily Evacuated Due to Impending Severe Weather

UPDATE 5:24pm: Forecastle Festivalgoers are being allowed to re-enter Waterfront Park, after a 20 minute evacuation due to a severe storm in the vicinity. The festival said via social media that it would release an updated schedule for tonight's shows soon.Original post: Severe thunderstorms in the vicinity caused the organizers of this weekend's Forecastle Festival to temporarily evacuate the music festival's venue at Waterfront Park.Around 4:30 this afternoon, the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Bullitt County, and the storm was headed north to Louisville.The Forecastle Festival posted this onits Facebook page: Due to impending inclement weather we are temporarily evacuating the festival. Proceed to your nearest exit and seek shelter. Stay tuned to social media and WFPK (91.9FM) for additional information. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.Festival goers will be allowed back into the park once the storm passes.This story will be updated.
