Former University of Louisville star Darrell Griffith is among the headliners of the latest College Basketball Hall of Fame class.
Griffith joins Shaquille O’Neal and Grant Hill in this year’s inductions.
Griffith helped Louisville win its first national title in 1980 during his senior season. He’d go on to have a 10-year career in the NBA with the Utah Jazz. Before UofL, Griffith was a star player for Male High School; he still lives in Louisville and works with UofL.
O’Neal averaged 22 points and 14 rebounds during his three-year college career at LSU, and was a first-team All-American his final two seasons. Hill led Duke to two national championships.
They, along with several coaches, will be inducted in November.
