Since 2007, Congressman John Yarmuth has focused his attention on three key areas: Enacting universal health care, reforming campaign finance, and working to undo the Bush agenda. Yarmuth was one of 22 House Members that helped write the Affordable Care Act. He also introduced the “Fair Elections Now Act,” to present a public financing system for Congressional campaigns. As the 2013 Congressional calendar drew to a close, I sat down with Yarmuth to discuss the year. We spoke about the NSA leaks, the rollout of the Afforable Care Act in Kentucky, the senate battle between Allison Lundergan Grimes, and much more.
