Health Department Looking For More Survey Participants

The Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness wants more people to participate in a survey that assesses public perceptions of the community’s healthcare providers. Information from the survey, mandated under the new federal health care law, will be shared with area hospitals. The online survey was launched in March.   Health department spokesman Dave Langdon says more than one thousand people have filled it out so far.“We plan to leave the survey up on our website for a while so that we get a better sample of the community.  We’d like quite a few more people to respond if at all possible,” he said.Langdon says the number of people taking the survey has been the highest in southwestLouisville, which hasn’t had a full-service hospital for several years.   Participation has been lightest in northeast sections of the Metro.
