Jefferson County Public Schools, Others Closed Monday Because of Winter Weather Again

Jefferson County Public Schools and many other school districts are closed Monday because of winter weather that moved into the Louisville area Sunday afternoon.About 2/3 of an inch of snowfall in Louisville before midnight, according to preliminary National Weather Service data. (More may have fallen after midnight, but that data wasn't available yet.) Ice also remained on some untreated roads from last week's winter weather. The weather service said the snowfall has ended in the Louisville area for Monday,but some roads may still be slick. City road crews headed out before midnightto salt roads.  Monday is also supposed to be quite cold, with a high temperature near 22.Other closed school districts include:

Jefferson County Catholic schools are on a delayed schedule Monday.This is the eighth time this academic year JCPS has closed because of winter weather.
