UPDATE 4:13 p.m.: The Jewish Community Center on Dutchmans Lane has been given the all clear by Metro Police after a bomb threat late Wednesday morning.
In a statement Wednesday afternoon, center spokesman Ben Goldenberg said the center had reopened and would continue to follow the daily schedule.
"We are proud and committed to people of all backgrounds and faiths feeling welcome and included when they come through our doors," Goldenberg said. "The safety and security of our members is our greatest priority. We will continue to be vigilant and work closely with law enforcement throughout their investigation."
The threat came via email, according to MetroSafe spokesman Mitchell Burmeister, and prompted an evacuation.
Around 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, police reported via Facebook that they the JCC building was cleared.

The Jewish Community Center was reportedly being evacuated on Wednesday after a bomb threat.
The Courier-Journal reported the threat, which was called in to the JCC headquarters at 3600 Dutchmans Lane late Wednesday morning. Calls and emails to the center were not immediately returned.
According to the Anti-Defamation League, there have been 140 bomb threats made to Jewish institutions since January, which is a dramatic spike. President Donald Trump’s administration has condemned the threats.
