Kentucky Rep. John Will Stacy Discusses His Retirement

After 22 years in the state House, state Eastern Kentucky Rep. John Will Stacy will retire.

The West Liberty  Democrat is one of the longest-serving members of the House. Even so, he says he will not miss being part of the state legislature.

“I’ve got a 22-year service in the General Assembly, and I think I’ve got a 22-year limit BS quotient,” Stacy said.

Morgan County, which is in Eastern Kentucky,  is getting two new representatives in Frankfort as a result of redistricting from the 2010 Census. The new state rep is Democrat Hubie Collins of Johnson County. The new state senator is Democrat Ray Jones of Pikeville.
