The Louisville Cardinals men’s basketball team has reached the Sweet 16 for the third straight year.
The Cardinals, a four seed, defeated the Saint Louis Billikens 66-51 in their second game of the 2014 NCAA Tournament in Orlando, Fla.
Louisville’s next game in the campaign to defend the 2013 national championship will be Friday. They’ll play the winner of Sunday’s game pitting the top-seeded Wichita State Shockers against UofL’s archrival, the eighth-seeded Kentucky Wildcats.
Senior forward Luke Hancock led Louisville with 21 points and three rebounds.
