Occupy Louisville Demonstrators Begin to Organize on Second Day

The Occupy Louisville demonstration at Fourth and Jefferson streets in downtown Louisville has entered its second day. The number of protestors who turned out for day two shrank compared to Tuesday afternoon.Day one was also marked by confusion, with some protestors gathering at Aegon Plaza and others at the Belvedere. Student Josh Reed says there was a lack of direction, but now the group is beginning to organize.“We’re all leading. It’s a collective effort. If you want information the best bet is really to come here and ask everyone. This is our first general assembly (pictured) today and they’re discussing some of the things they want to plan and organizational issues," Reed said.Community activist Curtis Morrison says there was a failed attempt at trying to acquire a permit for Aegon Plaza. Louisville Metro Police say no one slept in the plaza last night, despite previous reports that some protestors were there to stay. Some were reported to have slept at the Belvedere with permission.
