Fans of Paul McCartney who have tickets to his first-ever performance in Louisville will have to wait a while longer for the show.

McCartney announced on his website Monday that his doctors have advised him to take more time to recover from a viral infection that left him hospitalized in Asia last month.

His June 26 show at the KFC Yum! Center has been postponed until Oct. 28.

In a statement on his website, McCartney, 71, said his health continues to improve. He’s scheduled to resume touring on July 5 in New York.

The Louisville show is among seven tour dates being rescheduled.
