Pecha Kucha Focuses on Vision Louisville

The future of Louisville will be the topic of discussion Tuesday during the 13th Pecha Kucha. The city's Vision Louisvilleproject is the theme for the event, in which speakers talk for 400 second with the aid of 20 slides. For Vision Louisville, the city is considering what it will be like in 25 years to help create goals and major projects.“Ideas have been collected, but things are still in the early stages, as well. Perhaps there will be members of our community that will go to listen to this Pecha Kuchaand be inspired to take part in some aspect of Vision Louisville," said Pecha Kucha co-organizer Claude Stephens.Speakers include 55,000 Degrees executive director Mary Gwen Wheeler, attorney Cliff Ashburner and Mayor Greg Fischer.“You know, to focus it on Vision Louisville is a great way, because it’s such a big vision, there are so many exciting ideas in it," Fischer said.  "So I’m going to present [on Tuesday] just kind of where we’re at with Vision Louisville, how we’re going to fund it—hopefully with the local option—and a couple of other things, as well.”Pecha Kucha beings at 8 p.m. Tuesday at 21c Museum in downtown Louisville. It’s free and open to the public.
