Cards Prepping for Bearcats; Cincy QB Munchie Legaux: "I'm Better" Than Bridgewater

In college football, the Louisville Cardinals host Cincinnati Friday in their annual battle for the Keg of Nails.

The Cards are unbeaten at 7-0; the Bearcats are 5-1 with their first loss coming last week at Toledo. Both teams are 1-0 in the Big East Conference.

U of L coach Charlie Strong says this is one of the biggest games of his two-and-a-half seasons in Louisville.

"The last two years, up until this point, we haven’t been in a conference race. What we were looking at was year was 3-4 at this time. Even the year before that. We didn’t get bowl-eligible until the last game of the season," Strong said this week.

U of L coach Charlie Strong says his counterpart Butch Jones is bringing a talented squad to town, led by junior quarterback Munchie Legaux.   Legaux's comment this week that "I'm better" than Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has become motivational material for the Cards' locker room bulletin board.

Kickoff at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium is 8:00pm Friday.
