Cards Rise in One College Football Poll, Hold Spot in Another
The Louisville Cardinals gained a spot in one national college football poll this week and held their position in another.
U of L rose to sixth in the latest USA Today/coaches poll and remains at number seven in the Associated Press poll of sportswriters.
Coach Charlie Strong’s team is 3-0 following Saturday’s victory at Kentucky. The Cards finish their non- conference schedule next weekend against Florida International.
"We know that this is a team two years ago that beat us here at home. Last year we go down to FIU, it was a close game and we only won by seven. So we understand the task ahead of us," Strong said today.
Saturday’s kickoff at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium is at noon.
The Kentucky Wildcats have the weekend off and return to play on September 28 against Florida.
Indiana hosts Missouri Saturday.
