College Football: Cards Hold Off Memphis; Georgia Hammers UK; Indiana Falls at Ohio State
The Louisville Cards improved to 10-1 on the college football season Saturday, defeating Memphis 24-17 at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. .
Louisville seemed in control late in the game, leading 24-3 before Memphis cut the lead to seven in the fourth quarter.
The Cardinals were able to hold off the Tigers and register their first senior day win since 2007. U of L fans said goodbye to 20 seniors playing their last home game of the season.
The Cards' regular season finale is December 5 at Cincinnati.
The Kentucky Wildcats dropped their 15th straight Southeastern Conference game, falling 59-17 at Georgia. UK wraps up its season next Saturday at home against Tennessee.
In Columbus, Ohio, number four Ohio State beat Indiana 42-14.
The snowy victory clinched a division title for the 11-0 Buckeyes, locking up a spot opposite Michigan State in the Big Ten championship game on Dec. 7. The Hoosiers drop to 4-7 on the season.
