College Football Season Finales: Kentucky vs Tennessee, IU Hosts Purdue
The Kentucky Wildcats will host Tennessee Saturday in the college football season finale for both teams.
Both archrivals are rebuilding their programs under new coaches.
Kentucky is 2-9 under first year coach Mark Stoops, who says it’s been a season of challenges, compounded by injuries and suspensions.
"We’re trying our best on all sides of the ball to piece together the best team we can to help us win a game. Sometimes we look good and we look like we’re moving forward. Sometimes it doesn’t look so good as you all know. That’s tough and that’s frustrating but that’s where we’re at," he said.
Tennessee, which for years was among the nation’s top programs, has struggled to a 4-7 record this season under new coach Butch Jones.
Saturday's kickoff at Commonwealth Stadium is 7:00pm.
The Indiana Hoosiers also face a losing season. They’ll play their season finale against Purdue Saturday at 3:30pm in Bloomington.
The Louisville Cardinals have the week off. U of L returns to action next Thursday at Cincinnati.
