Last week, snow and ice caused hazardous road conditions, leading the Louisville Downtown Partnership and TARC to cancel the monthly trolley hop. Many galleries along the route that had scheduled exhibit opening receptions closed as well.

Downtown and Nulu gallery districts will have a second chance at a December opening.

The free trolleys will run the Market and Main Street and South Fourth Street routes Friday evening, 5-11 p.m. Here's a map.

The previously-scheduled holiday event “Miracle on Fourth Street” is back on as well, with carolers, live music, a free gift-wrapping station and holiday window displays in the shops on South Fourth Street, between Fourth Street Live and the Brown Hotel.

This month's trolley hop coincides with the city's Forty Nights of Lights, the revamped downtown holiday light display. The displays run down Fourth Street from The Galt House on Main to Fourth Street Live, with a nightly light show and projections synchronized to music that plays at the top of the hour, 7-11 p.m.
