EKU Presidential Search Moving Forward

A consulting team hired to help with the search for a new Eastern Kentucky University president is on campus this week.

Current President Doug Whitlock is retiring effective next summer.

“The role of these consultants is not to select our next president rather they’re gonna help ensure that the search and the selection process is managed effectively and that we achieve our goal in securing the next best president for the university and the future of the institution,” said EKU Presidential Search and Screening Committee Chairman Craig Turner.

Community forums on the skills sought in the new president will be held in Richmond and Tuesdy at the EKU Corbin campus.
