Mitch McConnell isn't up for reelection until 2014, but the Kentucky senator is already raking in donations from energy-related PACs.

Saturday was the deadline for monthly filings from PACs, and Politico's energy newsletter (sorry--no link) reports:

Chesapeake Energy PAC and Southern Nuclear Operating Co. PAC each sent [McConnell] $5,000. McConnell also got money from the PACs of AGL Resources ($2,500), the American Petroleum Institute ($2,500), Anadarko ($2,500), Southern Co. ($2,500), BP ($2,000), Pinnacle West Capital ($1,500) and the American Gas Association ($1,000).

These companies represent natural gas, nuclear, oil and electric utilities.
