The director of the Kentucky Oil and Gas Association believes hydraulic fracturing could eventually become a part of his industry's work in the state.

Andrew McNeil says fracking is possible in Kentucky, but he admits it's not likely to be as big as it is in other states.

"We certainly don't see fracking on the scale of what you would find in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio with the Marcellus and the Utica, but is there a possibility that at some point we will see an enhanced level of fracking within the state of Kentucky," he says.

McNeil made his comments on Kentucky Public Radio station WEKU.
