IU Still No. 1 in AP Poll; U of L Drops to 12th; UK is 25th

Indiana remains at No. 1 in the Associated Press Top 25 men’s college basketball poll despite losing a game last week, surviving a week of upsets to become the first team in over a month to hold onto the top ranking.

The Hoosiers lost to Illinois on a last-second basket Thursday but rebounded with a win at Ohio State on Sunday.

IU dropped to second place in the USA Today coaches poll, which gave the top spot to Duke.

Louisville dropped to 12th place in both polls, following last weekend’s five-overtime loss at Notre Dame.

The Kentucky Wildcats are back in the AP Top 25 for the first time since November.  UK is ranked 25 in this week’s AP survey but still unranked in the coaches poll.
