Kentucky Railroad Company Founder R.J. Corman Dies at 58
A well-known Kentucky businessman has died after a long battle with cancer.
R.J. “Rick” Corman died this morning at his home in Nicholasville. He was 58.
Corman ran a multimillion dollar railroad and construction company that employs more than one thousand people in 22 states.
He was diagnosed in 2001 with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer.
Corman was the founder and sole owner of R.J. Corman Railroad Group, which became one of only two major companies offering 24-hour emergency derailment cleanup for railways.
