Louisville "existential pop-rock" veterans IamIs (Shawna Dellacave and Jason Cox) released a new single yesterday. "Lead Hands" brings more of the haunting baroque pop we expect from the Louisville-based duo, and with bonus visuals: a new video, too.

With Dellcave's lush vocals and a light psychadelic touch, "Lead Hands" could be the soundtrack to the hot and rainy summer the Old Farmer's Almanac's predicting. Languid nights in the low-90s with 85 percent humidity call for a few slow flights of fancy.

"Lead Hands," recorded at the duo's Mother Vein Studio here in Louisville, is the first single from a new slate of work to be released throughout the year, funded in part by a grant from the Kentucky Foundation for Women. Their new album, "Go Supernovae!," is due out later this summer.
