U of L, UK and IU Open Play Friday in NCAA Baseball Championship
The Louisville Cardinals, Kentucky Wildcats and Indiana Hoosiers all beging play Friday in the opening round of the NCAA baseball championship.
The Cardinals and Wildcats are are playing in the Louisville regional at U of L’s Jim Patterson Stadium.
The Wildcats take on Kansas at 2:00pm, while the top-seeded Cardinals face Kent State at 6:00pm.
A UK/U of L showdown is possible in the double-elimination regional, which continues through Sunday. The winner goes to the NCAA super-regionals and a chance to advance to the College World Series, which begins June 14 in Omaha.
The Indiana Hoosiers are also hosting opening round regional play. They’ll take on Youngstown State Friday evening at 7:00 in Bloomington.
