Ramp From I-65 N to I-64 W to Remain Closed for Repairs

The ramp from northbound Interstate 65 to westbound Interstate 64 in downtown Louisville will remain closed for repairs. The ramp was closed suddenly Friday out of concern for what appeared to be deterioration in a support column. An inspection Saturday confirmed the deterioration, and repairs are expected to begin Sunday. The company that's building a new bridge downtown, Walsh Construction, will do the repairs, according to officials with the Ohio River Bridges project. There is no timeline on the repairs. Transportation officials have suggested I-264 as a detour. Update: Column PhotosHere are some photos of the support column being repaired from the Ohio River Bridges Project:
