Republican Senator Kelly Ayotte to Speak at the University of Louisville, Stump for Mitch McConnell

U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., will be in Louisville on Monday to speak at Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell's leadership center and rally for his re-election campaign.First elected in 2010, Ayotte is considered a leading voice on national security and foreign affairs as a member of the Senate’s Armed Services and HomelandSecurity committees.In a recent interview, she ripped President Obama's handling of the Ukraine crisisin comparison to Russian President Vladimir Putin's decision to invade Crimea.She will be a guest speaker of the McConnell Center's lecture series this week, where she is expected to discuss international and fiscal issues.The public talk is free, but tickets are recommended to get a seat. Ayotte's speech is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. in Bigelow Hall, Miller Information Technology Center.Afterwards McConnell's re-election campaign is holding a press conference with Ayotte and Kentucky veterans at 3:30 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn near the Louisville airport.She is a McConnell ally in the Senate and a close adviser after being appointed as the Republican leader's counsel last year.She is a graduate of Penn State and the Villanova University School of Law. In 2004, Ayotte was appointed New Hampshire’s first female attorney general.
