The St. James Court Art Show—which last year drew more than 200,000 people over three days—ends prematurely at 5 p.m. Saturday, organizers announced on the fair's Facebook page.
The fair won't open at all on Sunday, the announcement said.
Rain—sometimes heavy—has fallen on Louisville for much of the weekend so far, and more is coming.
Showers and possibly thunderstorms are expected in Louisville on Sunday—with 1 to 2 inches of rainfall possible, the National Weather Service said.
Here's the statement from the annual Old Louisville festival: ”Because of our safety concerns for our patrons, and artists the decision was made with city and emergency officials to have all sections of the art show shutdown as of 5:00 today, October 5. The show will be closed tomorrow.”
