TARC Conducting Passenger, Public Surveys

The Transit Authority of River City is conducting a series of random passenger surveys on buses over the next two months to gain information about travel patterns and rider needs.Passengers on bus trips included in the scientific survey will be asked to complete a brief written questionnaire. The poll will begin April 15 and additional passenger surveys will also be conducted in mid-May."We encourage passengers to participate if asked," TARC Executive Director J. Barry Barker said in a news release. "We’re eager to learn more from passengers and to be responsive to their needs."The city's bus system also plans to conduct random phone surveys of the general public in its 5-county service area, and of passengers who use the TARC 3 para-transit service for people with disabilities.TARC last conducted similar surveys in 2009.
