In his final Louisville campaign stop before Tuesday's election, Sen. Mitch McConnell appeared with his wife Elaine Chao and junior Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul at Bowman Field hangar.

McConnell spoke as he enters an election day with his biggest lead in the latest Bluegrass Poll since the campaign began. The poll released Friday said that of likely voters, McConnell leads Democratic Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes 48 percent to 43 percent.

McConnell Takes Five Point Lead in Latest Bluegrass Poll

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has a five point lead over Democratic challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes, according to the latest and final Bluegrass Poll.

Forty-eight percent of likely voters polled say they plan to vote for McConnell, while forty-three percent say they support Grimes. Libertarian David Patterson gets three percent, and six percent of voters are still undecided.

With only days left until the Nov. 4 election, Democratic Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes charged into the Copper & Kings Distillery on Tuesday evening with finance reform firebrand Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., to shout back at the 400 or so supporters chanting her name.

Tuesday night's campaign stop marks the second time this year Warren has appeared beside Grimes in Louisville, stirring supporters on student loan reform with her well-known brand of middle-class populism.
