Karl Rove's Super PAC Targets Ashley Judd in New Attack Ad

The Super PAC American Crossroads has released a stinging ad targeting actress-activist Ashley Judd, who is considering a bid against Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

The digital spot portrays Judd as an out-of-touch Hollywood liberal and criticizes her for being a supporter of President Obama, living in Tennessee and progressive politics.

The ad is called "Ashley's Story" and cost the group $10,000.

Democratic Super PACs Launch $1 Million Ad Campaign Against Mourdock

Big money is being spent this week by the political parties and outside groups in the Indiana Senate contest between Democrat Joe Donnelly and Republican Richard Mourdock.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has reportedly bought another $439,000 in advertisements for this week and the National Republican Senatorial Committee is following suit. 

For the past week, the conservative super PAC American Crossroads bas been running a nearly $1 million ad buy against Donnelly for his votes in support of President Obama's agenda. But a gang of liberal organizations led by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's Majority PAC, announced Tuesday that they are launching a $1 million campaign against Mourdock this week to highlight his opposition to the auto bailout.

Following American Crossroads Attack, DSCC Running Ads Backing Donnelly

National Democrats and Republicans are paying attention to the Indiana Senate race.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spent $250,000 on a television ad to back Congressman Joe Donnelly against Republican Richard Mourdock.

The 30-second spot goes after  Mourdock for saying the highlight of politics is to "inflict" his views on others, calling Social Security "unconstitutional" and alleges he wants to cut Medicare while giving "more tax breaks to Wall Street."

Conservative super PACs are also spending money in Indiana.

Donnelly is being attacked by a much larger $620,000 ad buy from American Crossroads GPS, which is backing GOP candidates across the country.
