Tonight  in Reno, Nevada, baseball’s top minor league players will compete in the Triple-A All Star Game.   Two members of the Louisville Bats, pitcher Greg Reynolds and outfielder Billy Hamilton, are on the International League roster.   They’ll take on the all-stars of the Pacific Coast League.

Former Louisville Bat Homer Bailey Throws Second No-Hitter

CINCINNATI — Homer Bailey has thrown his second no-hitter in 10 months and the first in the majors this season, pitching the Cincinnati Reds to a 3-0 victory over the slumping San Francisco Giants on Tuesday night.

Bailey (5-6) became the third Reds pitcher with more than one no-hitter, joining Jim Maloney and Johnny Vander Meer — still the only big leaguer to toss two in a row. Bailey beat the Pirates 1-0 in Pittsburgh last Sept. 28 and got another 17 starts later.

AP Source: Cincinnati to Host 2015 All-Star Game

CINCINNATI — The Reds will host the 2015 All-Star game at Great American Ball Park, the city's first since 1988, a person familiar with the decision tells The Associated Press.

Commissioner Bud Selig will discuss the decision on Wednesday in Cincinnati, where he's also appearing to promote Major League Baseball's latest urban youth academy, according to the person speaking on condition of anonymity because no announcements had been made.

The Cincinnati Enquirer first reported the decision.
