The president of Kentucky's third largest university said adding Pikeville University to the state system would be financially cumbersome for the state, although House Speaker Greg Stumbo says he won't personally support new funding for higher education until UPike is admitted.

Louisville attorney Sheryl Snyder represented the state Legislative Research Commission earlier this year when some lawmakers challenged the constitutionality of Kentucky’s redistricting plan. House Speaker Greg Stumbo says the $19,000 bill for those services was sent by e-mail Wednesday night.
