Jennifer Lawrence was nominated Thursday morning in the Golden Globe's best actress in a comedy or musical, her second nod for a major acting award in as many days.

The nomination is for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, a comedy about a man (played by Bradley Cooper) who struggles with mental illness after his marriage disintegrates. Lawrence plays his love interest, who is struggling with depression.

Louisville native Jennifer Lawrence has earned her second Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for outstanding performance by a female actor in a lead role , this time for the comedy Silver Linings Playbook.

Lawrence, 22, was nominated in the same category in 2010 for her breakout role in the indie drama Winter's Bone. Natalie Portman won the award, handed out in early 2011, for her performance in Black Swan.

Filmmaker Debra Granik -- best known for directing the 2010 film "Winter's Bone," which starred Lousiville native Jennifer Lawrence --  will speak Tuesday evening at Spalding University's Festival of Contemporary Writing. 

Granik talked Tuesday afternoon with WFPL's Jonathan Bastian about her craft, including what informs her projects.

""There are a lot of untold stories," Granik said. "The big thing is to have people that want to actually work with you to tell it."
