Susanna Crum Awarded Inaugural M.A. Hadley Visual Art Prize

Susanna Crum

Louisville native Susanna Crum moved home after graduating from the University of Iowa with a master of fine arts degree. She brought with her a fiancé, Rudy Salgado, who shares her passion for printmaking. Together, they plan on opening a printmaking studio here in Louisville where artists can produce fine art etchings, screen prints, woodcuts, digital prints and lithographs.

LVAA Adds $100 Art Sale to Annual Auction

Every year, the Louisville Visual Art Association partners with the University of Louisville Hite Art Institute to host a high-end art auction to raise funds for LVAA's children’s fine art classes and U of L's Mary Spence Nay Scholarship. This year, they're adding an art sale on the morning of the auction.

The By-Bye-Buy Art Sale begins at LVAA’s @PUBLIC Gallery, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, April 13.

LVAA Opens New Gallery on Whiskey Row

The Louisville Visual Art Association’s new downtown gallery is open.  As part of its downtown relocation, LVAA has opened a gallery called Public in Whiskey Row Lofts (131 W. Main St.). The first invitational exhibit, "Public @ Public," features fifteen local artists who created new work illuminated by lightboxes exploring the public theme.

Artebella Connects Louisville Artists with Collectors, the World

The city’s profile as an art destination has risen over the last few years, landing Louisville on superlative lists like AmericanStyle magazine’s best cities for art. Now the Louisville Visual Art Association is putting individual artists in the spotlight with Artebella Daily, a website and email campaign featuring a different local artist every weekday.
