Glenn Beck Headlining FreedomWorks Rally in Louisville

Conservative radio show host Glenn Beck will be in Louisville next month to host a rally and training session sponsored by FreedomWorks, a national Tea Party group that has endorsed Republican Matt Bevin in the Senate primary election.

Organizers says FreePAC Kentucky will feature grassroots activists from the state and across the country, including FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe. Those in attendance will gather to hear from conservative pundits, entrepreneurs and community leaders.

Mitch McConnell Holds Wide Lead Over Matt Bevin, Super PAC Senate Poll Finds

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell holds a nearly 40-point lead over primary challenger Matt Bevin, according to a super PAC supporting the incumbent.

Kentuckians for Strong Leadership released the poll Monday, showing McConnell ahead of Bevin by a 61-23 margin among likely voters.

The polling memo says McConnell's support among primary voters "cuts across ideology and Tea Party affiliation."

That's according to a new Bluegrass Poll conducted by the Louisville Courier-Journal, WHAS-TV, Lexington Herald Leader and WKYT-TV in Lexington, which was released Thursday evening.

Kentucky U.S Senate candidate Matt Bevin beat incumbent Mitch McConnell in a straw poll conducted by the Boone County Republican Party.

The unscientific survey was held at the group's gala on Thursday which featured libertarian speaker Judge Andrew Napolitano among others. Of the approximately 425 people who participated, Bevin won 85 percent compared to just 13 percent favoring McConnell.
