NCAA: Louisville Cardinals Escape Manhattan, 71-64

Luke Hancock sank two three-pointers late in the game to help the Louisville Cardinals pull away from Manhattan 71-64 in the men’s NCAA tournament.

The 13th seeded Jaspers kept it close against the defending champs and appeared poised to pull off an upset, but a Russ Smith three-pointer and Hancock’s clutch shots in the final minutes allowed the Cards to advance to Saturday’s third round.

Today’s (Friday’s) tournament action has Eastern Kentucky facing Kansas at 4:10pm, and Kentucky meeting Kansas State at 9:40pm. Both games are in St. Louis.
