Frankfort Park Seeks Sculpture for Summer Shakespeare

Frankfort's Josephine Sculpture Park is home to more than thirty pieces of art, and every summer, they add a new piece through an innovative approach to integrating the arts. In each annual Summerstage outdoor theatrical production, a new sculpture becomes an integral part of the production's set design.

Danville's Pioneer Playhouse Kicking Off 64th Season

Pioneer Playhouse

Kentucky’s oldest outdoor theater will begin its 64th season this weekend. 

Pioneer Playhouse of Danville brings in actors from New York, Los Angeles and other cities to spend the summer in central Kentucky.    It's alumni include John Travolta, Lee Majors and Jim Varney. 

Managing Director Heather Henson says the theater built by her late father Col.  Eben Henson, and her mother, Charlotte, has grown a supportive audience over the years.
