Early, Absentee Voting Underway in Kentucky, Indiana

Absentee and early voting has started in Kentucky and Indiana for next month’s primaries.

In Indiana, early voting continues through May 5, the day before the election.    Requests for an absentee ballot must be filed by April 28.     

Absentee requests must include a reason for needing an early ballot, but that’s not the case with walk-in voting.

Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson says with various local, state and federal races on the ballot for the mid-term elections, turnout will be mixed.

Former JCPS Board Members Imhoff and Hujo Jump Into Louisville Metro Council Race

Candidates in Kentucky have a week left to file to run for office, and two former school board members have jumped in the race for the Louisville Metro Council .

Former JCPS school board chair Steve Imhoff is so far up against eight other Democrats in the primaries for retiring Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh’s seat in District 9, which includes parts  St. Matthews and Crescent Hill.
