Overnight Snow May Not Stick to Roads. Morning Commute May be Awful, Anyway.

Above-freezing daytime temperatures Tuesday may keep Louisville roads from being blanketed in snow before the Wednesday morning commute—but driving issues are still possible.

Metro Louisville is expected to get as much as four inches of snow by Wednesday afternoon, the weather service said. Rain will become snow in the late evening and continue through Wednesday morning.

Louisville and surround areas are under a winter weather advisory from 7 p.m. Tuesday to 1 p.m. Wednesday.

It Snowed. More Snow Possible. Watch for Slick Spots, Public Works Says.

Snow.

It snowed in the early morning Saturday.

More may be on the way. The National Weather Service says snow is likely Saturday, mainly between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. A slighter chance of snow endures through Sunday morning. Jefferson and surrounding counties in Kentucky and Indiana remain under a winter weather advisory until 7 a.m. Sunday.

Winter Weather Closes JCPS on Friday; Slick Spots on Roads, Bitter Cold Expected

The winter weather has given Louisville students a long weekend. Jefferson County Public Schools will be closed Friday. District officials made the call at 4:45 this morning. Jefferson County Catholic elementary and high schools are also closed.

Winter Weather is Coming; JCPS Cancels After-School Activities Because of Snow Threat

With the potential for bursts of snow, Louisville and the surrounding area are under a winter weather advisory until 2 a.m. Friday. Because of this, Jefferson County Public Schools is canceling all after-school activities  for Thursday evening.

Louisville has a 50-percent chance of snow before 5 p.m., which could lead to accumulation of less than a half-inch, the National Weather Service said. Snow showers are likely Thursday night—between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.—and could bring as much as an inch of accumulated snow.
