UK Football Falls to No. 1 Alabama

The number 1 ranked University of Alabama easily defeated the University of Kentucky in a 48-7 victory Saturday night.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Crimson Tide scored on their last eight possessions to beat the Wildcats for the fifth straight time.Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron threw for a career-high 359 yards, including a 20-yard touchdown to Kevin Norwood.During the first quarter the Crimson Tide committed an uncharacteristic combination of fumbles and dropped passes in Wildcats territory that contributed to their first scoreless opening quarter of the season.But Alabama used most of the second quarter to break the game open.Kentucky's fourth straight loss closed out its most challenging stretch in school history, including games against the University of Louisville before facing the nation's top-ranked team and two-time defending national champions, Alabama.Indiana University also fell to Michigan State 28-42.
