The Unemployment Bridge Program has $149 million in its coffers to help prevent Kentuckians who have lost their jobs from losing their homes as well. Indiana has $222 million in its Hardest Hit Fund for the same purpose. But each state has awarded just a small fraction of the available money, because not many struggling homeowners have heard that help is available. In this week’s Courier-Journal, Chris Otts reported on outreach efforts being made in the commonwealth and across the river to get the word out.
