Weather Channel Seeks Footage of March 2012 Tornados In Indiana and Kentucky

Weather Channel producers are asking for help in gathering video of the tornados thatravaged Kentucky and Indiana on March 2, 2012.The footage could be used in two programs in the channel’s “Tornado Alley” series that will air next spring.Executive producer Kim Kantner said there are no restrictions on the type of video that can be submitted."Wherever the footage was caught, however it was caught, by whomever it was caught, in whatever shaky, dark, ugly or brilliant format, we need it," Kantner said. "Because that happened and there’s no going back to get it."A Weather Channel crew will come to the area in late September to interview some of the people who shot footage, those who captured on the video and survivors of the storms, among others, Kantner said. The video and any comments and questions can be sent to tornadofootage@gmail.com
