WFPL to Carry Live Coverage of President Obama’s News Conference

Update: President Barack Obama will hold a news conference at about 11:30 a.m. today to answer reporters’ questions on a variety of domestic, fiscal and foreign affairs issues; WFPL will carry NPR’s special coverage live.

(Note: Initially, the news conference was scheduled for 11:15 a.m.)

Among the topics the president is expected to address in the East Room of the White House are gun control, the economy, the federal debt, Syria and Afghanistan.

President Obama will be sworn in to his second term privately on Sunday and in a public ceremony on Jan. 21.
