5,000 Still Without Power in Eastern, Western Kentucky

About five-thousand electric customers across Kentucky are still without power after the January ice storm and last week’s windstorm. Public Service Commission spokesperson Andrew Melnykovych says the outages are evenly split between western and eastern Kentucky."The ice storm outages are still out in the western part of the state, far western Kentucky, principally in the rural areas, the wind storm outages are at the other end of the state, in eastern Kentucky, and again principally in the more remote, rural areas," says Melnykovych. He says almost all those outages should be repaired by the end of the week.
